Oath of the Hospitaller: A Paladin Subclass

The Oath of the Hospitaller is a new subclass for paladins in the fifth edition of our favorite fantasy role-playing game. In this design, we tried to focus on making the paladin into an acceptable combat healer without having to change the basic framework of the class.

While the heavy armored warrior is an archetype immediately associated with the class, paladins whose main role is to keep allies on their feet have also been a staple of fantasy games for at least a decade now.

If you feel that lay on hands is not enough for the healing needs of your party and there are no clerics or druids around, a paladin sworn to the oath of the hospitaller may be exactly what you need!
