The Cairn of Recall

Some memories cannot be made to be forgotten.

Since it defeated the Noghalt Domain, the Empire of Caldar has been a beacon for the civilized races for over six centuries. The last lord of Noghalt, Shalen, having delved far into the realms of madness and evil pulled his entire nation into ruin for his foolish quest for immortal power. Luckily for the realms of man, the early kingdoms of Caldar united into a powerful empire and defeated the insane King at Talons Gulch.

Six long centuries have now passed and much has been forgotten of the battles save the name of Shalen himself, a name spoken in hushed tones. There is however still one that remembers all of that time and all of that hatred. It’s powerful furor will make the Grand city of Caldar tremble with it’s longing to fulfil his former masters desire of the ruination of the Empire of Caldar.  His re-emergence has heralded many turbulent events, one of which is the falling of ancient magics designed to make all forgot those that followed Shalen.
